Sooooooo What is Conflict?
Conflict is the problem, struggle, or challenge
that a person faces in a story.
Conflict creates problems for characters and helps move
the plot forward.
External Conflict
External conflict happens when a person
struggles against something outside themselves.
Person vs. Society
A person struggles against society, its rules,
expectations, or systems.
Example: marginalization inside a society feeling unaccepted {ex. Racism LGBT protesting for a change/acceptance}
Person vs. Person
A person struggles against another person. (call it a 1v1 if you want.) JK dont
Example: a disagreement between 2 people in a physical or mental fight.
Person vs. Supernatural
A person struggles against a supernatural being
or force.
Example: Spider Man getting bitten by a Supernatural spider
Person vs. Nature
A person struggles against forces of nature.
Example: A person tries to survive a tornado or a tsunami.
Person vs. Technology
A person struggles against technology, machines,
or artificial systems like AI.
Example: An AI program is being shut down It starts to copy itself to Prevent being shut down.
Person vs. Circumstance
Somthing You cant really control
Exemple: Gambling you cant control chance right?
Internal Conflict
Internal conflict happens when a person
struggles within themselves.
Person vs. Conscience
A person struggles with what they believe is
right or wrong.
Example: A person finds money that isn't theirs
and struggles with whether to keep it or return it.
Person vs. Doubts
A person struggles with uncertainty about
themselves or their decisions.
Exemple : You pick that one test question and you reget it instantly
Person vs. Fears
A person struggles against their own fears.
Example: A person is afraid of spiders but
must overcome that fear.
